It's Time to Update

There is a big project underway at the Jocson home. We have lived here for 33 years and have no intention of moving any time soon. Over the past couple of years, we have started to make updates.

First, our laundry room (though we have always called it our mudroom, as it’s off the garage). Oh sure, we painted it several times throughout the decades, in addition to adding way too many pieces of furniture for storage, and believe me, it’s not a big area. At one point I needed to turn sideways to get to the sink. It was so bad that when someone came to visit, my husband or I would say, “Ach! Shut the mudroom door!” Today, I feel good every time I walk into it and I often keep the door open.

Next, we did the ‘kids’ bathroom on the second floor. It too, had many themes throughout the years- the fish/water theme stands out most in my mind. Now, it’s a beautiful space.  Then came the ½ bath off the kitchen, though we have always called it the Powder Room. Why oh why would a builder put a bathroom in this spot?? It looks so pretty now even though it still lacks privacy for the user.

That brings us to the current project: The Master Bath. It’s definitely right up there with the mud room in terms of ugliest room in the house. Out goes the garden tub. The most we ever used it for was the “clay baths” for our youngest daughter when she was a pre-teen. Diagnosed with several autoimmune disorders, she would soak in the clay mixture to draw out aluminum and other heavy metals. In its place, a walk-in shower. We have a few other nice additions: a floor to ceiling linen cabinet and a bidet.

The whole renovation process can be stressful. Many decisions to make and lots of money to fork over.

Is it worth it? Most certainly.

You know what else is worth the time and energy, and even the money? You and your health. I’ve walked the road of my own health transformation, so I get it. I’ve gone to a functional medicine doctor out of state (and paid a pretty penny), I’ve hired my local doctor through a concierge system, I’ve removed certain foods from my diet, added certain foods in, timed my eating (Intermittent Fasting) and currently eat mostly meat and fat and I drink water.

Like a home renovation, I won’t know exactly what this is going to look like until I’m further into it. So far, so good though. My favorite food right now is a Ribeye steak. For someone who used to gag on meat at times, this is quite novel for me.

But just like adding a bidet and taking out a tub, I’m looking for what fits me right now. And right now, it’s meat. However, unlike the quasi-permanent features of my new bathroom, I have the liberty of shaking my style of eating up any time I want. Right now, this feels good.

Have you tried something new recently? I’d love to hear about it!

You know, I really appreciate the expertise of our builder. He’s a very nice young man who brings in other nice men to help him out (plumber, electrician, etc.) He has done all our other projects. I trust him.

I like to think I’m trustworthy, too. Check out what others have to say about their experience with me on my website!

As always, I’m here for you. I’m in the ring, waiting for you to step in and fight for your health.

Now I'm going to speak specifically to you if you're considering one of the weight loss injections.
PLEASE do your research. These meds do not come without risks and side effects.

The only side effect you will have from intermittent fasting is weight loss.

Don't forget! I help middle aged women lose weight and keep it off.
2025 is your year. Let's talk!
